MANAGEMENT TEAM

RAE PERSON – Owner/Contractor. Rae grew up working summers in construction. After college, he worked for an engineering firm, realized it wasn’t for him and opened his first remodeling company in 1982. As our fearless leader, Rae oversees the business and construction side of the company, does all the estimating and works directly with the Production Supervisor and crews. He collects and restores old 1970’s stereo speakers and components and makes instant friends with everyone! Rae is also in charge of keeping caffeine and chocolate in the office to ensure a productive work environment!
ROSE MIDDLETON – Owner/Designer. Rose attended design school in the US, traveled and studied in Europe and then opened her own design business. Her first was in studio art for advertising, the second in landscaping and, after restoring her 1894 Victorian house; she found her true calling in residential remodeling. Rose is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and holds the Certified Aging In Place Specialist designation from the National Association of Home Builders. She oversees the work of the Staff Designers, works directly with the Office Manager and does all the company’s marketing. Rose restores old furniture, shops for bargains in thrift stores and “Mothers” everyone she knows.
PAUL BOND – Production Supervisor. Paul began working in the new construction industry as a teenager and over the years learned all the skills required to build new homes from the ground up. In college Paul pursued drafting where his focus was learning to draw and read blue prints. He started his own very successful remodeling company in 1985. Rae persuaded him to join RARE Construction in 2002 and Paul became Supervisor in 2004. Since then he has been Rae’s right hand man and the crews’ “Go to Guy”. He lives with his wife in Kansas City North where his two hand raised Rottweiler’s guard the palace. He loves 4 wheeling and old car restoration.
ALLISON ZUROWSKI – Design Assistant. Allison has joined us as Rose’s new Design Assistant. Allison completed her four year design degree and moved to Kansas City this year. She is not only an interior designer but a graphic designer as well. She will be working with Rose on all the RARE projects, as she learns the ins and outs of remodeling. From design to production, from ordering product and doing quality control to…final job cleaning! Allison loves to cook and visits flea markets and antique shops for all things old and wonderful!
MELANIE BOND – Office Manager. Melanie was hired originally as a Production Assistant for Paul Bond and a back up person for the bookkeeper eventually being promoted to Office Manager. Mel, as she is fondly known, has been in construction her entire working life, attending Accounting classes at JCCC. She still works closely with Paul updating the work schedules, as well as performing all the functions as Office Manager; doing all the record keeping, billing and payroll. Melanie has a take-charge personality and is always ready to help with any project. Happily, Melanie and Paul were married in 2008. She loves to cook for the family, and even bakes cookies for the Home Show!
SHEILA LANIER
Our great employee and good friend Sheila Lanier has moved to Phoenix, Arizona where her husband has taken a new job.  We will miss her wonderful design work and cheerful disposition!
