Best Kitchen Remodel $40,000 - $80,000
2010 REMY Award

This extreme kitchen makeover began by tearing out the back staircase, the basement door and the dining room wall to create a large, open space. Bright white, multi-tiered cabinets, gleaming stainless steel appliances, sinks, faucets and hardware create simple but dramatic contrast to the dark oak floors. Opalescence granite on the curved island top and Ice Brown granite on the perimeter cabinets combine with multiple glass accent tiles to create a timeless look. A chef’s sink at the island and a gourmet wine bar in the dining room deliver extra work space for both easy family living and great entertaining.
Best Bath Remodel Under $30,000
2010 REMY Award

Great spaces come in small packages. This spa inspired master bath remodel fulfilled the client’s expectations without expanding the original 6’x 8’space. Carrara marble, basket weave floor tiles combine with a Terrazzo Onyx counter top and white vanity cabinets to keep the room bright. An angled custom shower and corner toilet make maximum use of available floor space and clear shower glass keeps the room open. The use of square sinks and angular, brushed nickel faucets, accessories and light fixtures lend an edgy, contemporary look. A crystal finish center window flanked by mirrors brings natural light into the room.
Best Interior Remodel Under $40,000
2008 REMY Award

To create this incredible room, we transformed the little used formal dining room to a multi-use study. The focal point of the room is the direct vent, zero clearance fireplace, with an Arts and Crafts styled front. The Arts and Crafts theme is continued with seven foot, custom built, maple, sliding doors designed in close partnership with the client. The doors create a warm architectural detail and inspire the design of the moldings and mantle. Multicolored African Blaze slate tiles create the fireplace surround and hearth and set the color pallet for the walls and the room’s furniture and accessories.
2008 REMY Award
This ultimate kitchen remodel began by replacing the clutter catching island with a two-tiered peninsula eating bar. This opened up the space. Maple, multi-tiered cabinets are dramatically juxtaposed with rich, dark cherry accent pieces for the hood, dry bar and wine cabinet. Copper Silk granite counters are complemented by multi-colored, porcelain tile backsplash with copper framed, rhombs tiles over the range and wine bar. Copper cabinet hardware, black and stainless appliances and faucet, and a black Swanstone sink add drama. New stained glass pendant lights, ceiling and task lights set the mood whether cooking or entertaining.
Best Room Addition under $100,000

Best Bath Remodel $20,000 - $40,000
2007 REMY Award

This award winning design has beautiful granite countertops, dark espresso cabinets, and faucets with a mini arch. The varied vanity heights accommodate the difference in height between the homeowners. A new soaker tub and custom shower makes this one luxurious master bath.
Best Bath Remodel over $30,000
2008 KCH&G Gold Award

This luxury spa style master bath maintains the contemporary styling of the home. To accomplish the transformation, a streamlined layout with long steam shower, floating maple cabinetry and shelves, a half wall enclosed commode area and new closet layout were designed. The calming Waterfall Green granite creates the waterfall effect surrounding the seat in the shower and a flowing river effect for the vanity top. Other finishes, including light aqua colored glass tiles and warm floor accentuate the lavish comfort of this in-home retreat.
